(3.2.2012)The list of events organized by Erasmus Student Club in summer semester 2012. Do not hesitate to join any of upcoming trips and/or parties!
International Day
(09. 05. 2012)It’s that time of year again when we begin to think about a change. We want something different, something new, something that will leave a mark in our lives. It’s time for International Day. This is the day where you can share with some eager Czech students who are trying to decide if they should study abroad or not, and where. Tell them your stories, introduce them to your culture, and encourage them to get out there and start LIVING their lives! But you don’t have to worry; it’s not just work for you. You can play too! It’s a chance for you to personally talk to the other exchange students (in a quieter setting than those Presentation Parties )! This is your chance to share your experiences, and maybe even find your next memorable destination. There will be an organized program where you can: • Taste traditional cuisines • Learn about traditional Korean culture, dance, etc. (via IYF – International Youth Fellowship) • Live music • Unity Cypher • And MORE In addition, there will be some fun contests/games: • Slackline, twister, and bungee running! • Trivia, memory games, quizzes and a map challenge! So, come on out and challenge yourself to learn from each other as much as you will teach each other. You won’t get a better opportunity to do so! Plus, don’t forget, this is focused on encouraging Czech students to have the same courage as you, and to go abroad. To help them relax, how about practicing a bit of the Czech that you learned throughout the semester!
Trip to Eastern Bohemia
(20.-22. 4. 2012)We will visit - town Náchod - Primátor brewery with opportunity for beer tasting - brewery is making MORE than 30 kinds of beer! - Adršpach Rock Town - unique set of sandstone formations and one of the most beatiful places in the Czech Republic - World War II fortification - experience the soldiers´ feelings 40 meters below the surface - local party clubs :-) Let's make this trip the best one together!
Trip to Karlovy Vary
(31.3.2012)Hello everybody! Because we want you to enjoy your stay in the Czech Republic as much as possible, we have prepared for you a trip to one of the most famous and most beautiful spas - Karlovy Vary. We are going to visit the city center, Museum of Becherovka, glass factory... Moser and of course drink some healthy mineral water from several thermal springs ;-) So come with us and experience the unique atmosphere of this beautiful town in Western Bohemia!

Buddy Party - Carnival
(8.3.2012)Time has come to make the final arrangements for the most Magnificent, the one-and-only Carnival Buddy Party 2011. We have prepared a wonderful evening full of party games, competitions, prizes and jolly spirit. Therefore prepare yourselves masks and costumes of any kind, take your buddy and do come to Carnival Buddy Party which takes place at 8pm at the Roosvelt dormitory! We are looking forward to see you and your buddy at the most amazing party of summer semester! And for your buddies, there is a free beer.
Orientation Week Summer Semester 2012
(6.-10.2.2012)Week full of events mainly for new Erasmus students (but also for the staying ones, for Buddies and friends) organized by ESC ICT Prague. Starting with Welcome Party on Monday, administrative meetings, Prague tour, czech dinner, trip to the town of beer, Pilsen, tour to fortress of Vyšehrad and ice skating (see the poster). A great possibility to meet other international and czech students from the start of the semester!
Farewell party
(26.1.2012)As you may have already noticed this semester is rapidly coming to its end. For those who won’t be staying next semester, we all from the ESC team hope that you had a wonderful time here in Prague. But before you say (hopefully not final :) [:)] goodbye let’s meet for one last party – The farewell party. And guess what? It’s going to be epic! Starting at 8 PM, 26th January in Club Blanice.
Skiing trip
(13.-15.1.2012)Winter is approaching slowly and with winter comes.......SNOW!!! And what we usually do on snow? We do skiing, snowboarding, making snowman, snowball battles:-), sledging and primarily ENJOYING it! We are going to do all that stuff with you during the Skitrip, which takes place in January, 13th-15th. We want to teach how to do skiing/snowboarding those of you who maybe have not seen the snow yet and do skiing with experienced skiers. Moreover, you may expect some funny games in the evenings and slalom race on Sunday. Summary: When? 13th - 15th January 2012 Where? Ski resort Klinovec What? Skiing, snowboarding and having fun on snow Why? Learn something new, feel the real winter, fresh air :-) How? with a bus; accomodation in a private hotel How much? 1500 CZK (1350,- for ESN card holders), includes transport, accomodation, 2 breakfasts and dinners, ski/snb stuff rental fees

Christmas Evening
(13.12.2011)Hi everyone! Feel like celebrating Christmas in an (almost) traditional way? Come to the "Druhej svět" restaurant on Tuesday 13 2011! Hot wine, Christmas cookies and magical Czech customs will be waiting for you ;) Be sure to wrap and bring one small present so that everybody can share festive spirit :) The meeting is at 19:00, in the metro station - above the escalators, next to the Rossman drug-store. Buddy Party (Dancing)
(10.11.2011)Come with ESC and ISC to enjoy the unique atmosphere of traditional Czech dance courses – „taneční“! What to expect? Dancing lessons, games, competitions and loads of fun! In a dance competition, you will have a chance to become king and queen of the evening and win nice and interesting prizes. And we will also vote for the most elegant pair Erasmus/Buddy! Hope to see you all! Suit up! And take your buddy and move your body!
Trip to Southern Moravia
(15.-16.10.2011)We invite you to the Moravian part of the Czech Republic with its typical wineyards and winecellars! Another place in our country that you must not miss! What to expect of the trip? Of course degustation of many kinds of wine, walks around the lovely town of Mikulov, visit of Lednice, the famous neo-gothic chateau surrounded by an extensive park, protected as World Heritage by UNESCO.
Trip to Bohemian Paradise
(30.9.-2.10.2011)Bohemian Paradise, one of the most exquisite and fabulous part of the Republic. We'll take bus from Volha dormitory (leaving at 3 p.m.) to enjoy our three days full of teambuilding activities, trips through ancient castles and lovely "rock towns" in the atmospheric autumn nature. On Sunday, we'll visit the Svijany Brewery to show you other sides of beer culture than only its consumption :-)
Trip to Kutná Hora
(17.09.2011)Come with ESC to Kutná Hora - a beautiful medieval town located in the Central Bohemia which is also listed in UNESCO. Here we will visit the Cathedral of Our Lady, St. Barbara's Church, Sedlec Ossuary and old silver mines.

Charity flea-market and auction
(6.9.2011)How to start your Erasmus stay? By feeling well in your new home! :) Because of absence of usual equipment at the dorms (kitchen equipment and electrical appliances), ESC organizes for you a CHARITY MARKET of second hand stuff. It will take place on Tuesday, 6th September 2011 from 5:00 p.m. at the dorms. What will you find there? Plates, pots, cutlery, glasses, hangers, school supplies, kettles and much more for a bargain price. The profit from the auction and market will help to support charity actions in the Czech Republic within the program Social Erasmus.
